Split Rims
These have the studs around the outside. We do not normally coat 3 piece split rims due to the fact that the seal could get damaged and that holds the air in the tyre. (We can usually coat 2 piece wheels ie bolt on front with no inner seal.) You can tell 3 piece wheels only when the tyre is taken off as the seal can then be seen.

Part painting, part polishing and diamond cutting are not currently part of our current rota.

Durability, Cleaning & Colours
The most durable finish is the powder coat finish and it has a good resilience to road salts, grit etc. The upkeep is fairly minimal and no special cleaners are recommended, just an occasional clean with soap and water. Powder coat silver is not as bright as painted silver but a lot more durable. The colour is close to Mercedes/BMW alloys pre - 2000. These can look fine on most cars but some silver cars can look better in the brighter painted wheels (due to a colour clash), or in complete contrast, a hi gloss black. We have a wheel for most of the finishes so it can be 'tried out' along side the car.

Please note we do not colour match but use a set range of finishes.

Polished wheels are not lacquered and if you chose this finish you must be aware of the upkeep that is required. They need regular cleaning with SOLVOL AUTOSOL to keep the shine up, and the corrosion down, although it can take a lot of elbow grease.
